Who is Habitat for Humanity?
Habitat for Humanity Manitoba is one of 1,400 affiliates worldwide working to build safe, decent, and affordable homes for families. Every year, they partner with communities in Manitoba to help working, lower-income families achieve strength, stability, and independence through affordable homeownership.
About Our Build Day
This year we are participating in a Habitat build day on September 9th, 2022. You can view the building site here. Currently, interest rates are rising in Canada, and housing supply and affordability are declining. As a result, the Government of Canada’s Budget 2022 dedicated an entire chapter to housing affordability. We wanted to roll up our sleeves and be a part of a solution. We can do this alone, but there is strength in numbers! So why not invite friends and clients to join us? Our goal is to raise $5,500. We can’t wait to lend a hand and help build a house!

Time: 8:15 am – 3:45 pm
What to expect: You do not need construction experience or equipment to participate! If you do not have your own equipment it will be supplied for you. Habitat is safety conscious, follows health protocols, and requires participants to complete the online safety training and review the Volunteer Guide to participate.
