June 13, 2023 – CRA Launches New Online Form to Apply for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC)

This new online form was created to make applying for the DTC an easier and more efficient process. Applicants no longer need to print out the form and take it to their doctor. Once part A of the online form is filled in a reference number is provided for the medical practitioner to access the form and complete part B. Applicants can also call an agent for assistance (1-800-959-8281) or use an automated voice service (1-800-463-4421).

The DTC online form can be accessed through your CRA login on the left navigation pane under “Benefits and credits”. Once the form is started, the progress tracker on the overview screen will show the status of the application.
